Mumbai, Oct 13: With diabetes emerging as a major public health concern in India, complications affecting the feet are increasingly becoming an important area of clinical attention. In a step towards strengthening specialised diabetes care, Wockhardt Hospitals, Mira Road, has launched a dedicated Diabetic Foot Clinic to promote awareness, enable early detection and provide comprehensive management of diabetic foot complications.

People living with diabetes may develop nerve damage, reduced blood circulation and diminished sensation in their feet. Even minor cuts, blisters or pressure injuries can go unnoticed and progress into serious wounds. Regular foot examinations, blood sugar management, appropriate footwear and prompt consultation with specialists are therefore essential components of preventive care.

Our focus is on timely intervention, preventing avoidable complications and helping patients lead healthier, more active lives.”
