Kolkata, Oct 08: Bangla Zee 5 is set to premiere Pathikrit Basu’s Keu Bole Biplobi Keu Bole Dakat on 9th October, 2026, bringing the historical action drama to audiences on the platform. Starring Jeet in the lead as legendary revolutionary Ananta Lal Singh, the film explores the extraordinary journey of a freedom fighter whose life took a dramatic turn in post-Independence India.
Keu Bole Biplobi Keu Bole Dakat is inspired by the life of Ananta Lal Singh, one of the key figures associated with the Chittagong Armoury Raid and a close associate of revolutionary leader Master-da Surya Sen. The film moves between his revolutionary past and his later life, when a series of daring robberies in 1960s Kolkata draws the attention of the police. At the centre of the story is the question of whether Ananta should be remembered as a revolutionary or branded a dacoit.
As the story unfolds, Inspector Durga Prasad Roy, played by Tota Roy Chowdhury, leads the pursuit of Ananta. The narrative brings together questions of revolution, justice, power and the changing circumstances of a man who continues to fight against a system he believes has failed ordinary people. The film presents different phases of Ananta’s life and Jeet portrays the character across multiple looks and stages of his journey.
The film features an ensemble cast including Tota Roy Chowdhury, Priyanka Sarkar, Srijla Guha, Kaushik Sen, Loknath Dey, Rajatava Dutta, Chandan Sen, Debopriyo Mukherjee, Debattama Saha, Suprobhat Das, Sreya Bhattacharyya and Durbar Sharma, among others. Loknath Dey portrays revolutionary leader Surya Sen, while Kaushik Sen plays Home Minister Bijoy Mukherjee.
Directed by Pathikrit Basu, the film has story development and screenplay by Aritra Banerjee and Arpan Gupta, with dialogues by Soumit Deb, Arpan Gupta and Aritra Gupta. Soumik Halder serves as the cinematographer, Moloy Laha as the editor, and Shantanu Moitra has composed the music and background score. The film is produced by Nandy Movies and Jeetz Filmworks Pvt. Ltd.
