Oct 21: SFK Group of Companies has entered into a strategic collaboration with Netherlands-based StaticAir B.V. to introduce PAMARES, an innovative filterless outdoor air purification technology, across select regions of India. With an initial focus on Northern India, the initiative aims to support government bodies, municipal corporations and pollution-control authorities in addressing rising particulate pollution in urban areas.

As part of the collaboration, SFK, along with Engineering & Environmental Solutions Pvt. Ltd., will conduct demonstrations of PAMARES technology for government and civic authorities. Developed by StaticAir, the system uses electrostatic ionisation to capture airborne particulate matter ranging from PM0.1 to PM10 without conventional filters, fans or moving parts. Operating at just 18 watts with zero noise, it can be installed on existing infrastructure such as traffic poles, CCTV poles and street-light poles.

Commenting on the collaboration, Mr Nitin Kaushal, Founder & CEO, SFK Group of Companies, said,

"Air pollution remains one of the biggest challenges facing Indian cities, and addressing it demands innovative, practical solutions. Through our partnership with StaticAir, we aim to introduce a technology that can help reduce particulate pollution in high-traffic and densely populated areas. Our focus is on demonstrating its effectiveness under Indian conditions and working with government authorities to explore wider adoption. In the long run, we also envision local manufacturing that can make such solutions more accessible across the country."

According to the technical information provided, PAMARES can achieve particulate matter reductions of approximately 20–40%, depending on environmental conditions and installation locations. The technology has undergone testing at IIT Kanpur and has been deployed at locations including Worli in Mumbai, Rambagh in Jaipur and Anand Vihar ISBT in Delhi. A pilot deployment in Jaipur reported approximately a 30% reduction in surrounding-area particulate matter under heavy traffic conditions.

The collaboration also aims to explore domestic manufacturing of PAMARES once successful demonstrations and a viable deployment model are established. E&E Solutions, which holds exclusive manufacturing and distribution rights for PAMARES in India, will support the initiative.

Through this partnership, SFK seeks to bring international environmental technology to Indian cities while encouraging scalable, energy-efficient solutions for improving outdoor air quality.
