Mumbai, October 18: Swen has been officially appointed as the Official Streaming Partner for the 47th World Armwrestling Championship and the 28th World Para Armwrestling Championship, scheduled to be held from October 29 to November 7, 2026, at the Leela Ambience Convention Hotel in New Delhi.
Announced by Preeti Jhangiani, President of the People's Armwrestling Federation of India (PAFI) and Vice President of the Asian Armwrestling Federation (AAF), and Parvinn Dabass, Co-Founder of the Pro Panja League, India's premier professional armwrestling league, the partnership will bring the sport's flagship global event live to audiences across India and around the world.
Hosted by the People's Armwrestling Federation of India (PAFI) under the World Armwrestling Federation (WAF), the Championships are expected to welcome more than 1,700 athletes, officials and supporters from over 60 countries, making it one of the largest international armwrestling events ever organised. Under the partnership, Swen will stream the Championships live [and on demand], covering the able-bodied and para categories, from the qualifying rounds through to the finals and medal ceremonies.
Swen also is rapidly becoming the global home of armwrestling and cementing its status as the ultimate streaming king for combat sports. This powerhouse reputation is backed by an elite portfolio of live broadcasts, with previous streaming credits that include the Pro Panja League - Poonawalla Gold Edition 1, the European Armwrestling Championship, and the Pro Panja League Trials in Delhi. Swen has also successfully delivered high-stakes coverage for the Pro Panja - Mega Matches Mizoram, as well as the international broadcast of Armatura 13, live from Russia.
The Championships arrive in Delhi on the back of India's rapid rise in the sport. The same venue hosted the 2025 Asian Armwrestling & Para Armwrestling Championships, where India won 176 medals and finished second overall, a result that helped secure the country's place as one of armwrestling's fastest-growing destinations.
Speaking on the partnership, Preeti Jhangiani, President of the People's Armwrestling Federation of India (PAFI) and Vice President of the Asian Armwrestling Federation (AAF), said, "Hosting the World Championships in India is a milestone for every athlete who has believed in this sport. Partnering with Swen means that milestone won't stay inside the arena. Fans in India and around the world will see every pull, every comeback and every medal as it happens, and our para-athletes will get the global stage they have long deserved. That visibility is what helps a sport grow from a passion into a profession."Parvinn Dabass, Co-Founder of the Pro Panja League, added, "With the Pro Panja League, we saw how quickly audiences fall in love with armwrestling once they can actually watch it. It's fast, it's raw, and every match is decided in seconds. Swen gives the world's best pullers the audience they deserve and gives a new generation of Indian fans a front-row seat. We want people who discover the sport during these two weeks to stay with it long after."
Fans can watch the World Armwrestling & Para Armwrestling Championships 2026 live on Swen app with coverage running throughout the event from October 29 to November 7, 2026.
