New Delhi, Sep 11: The Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum and Amrit Udyan will remain closed to visitors from September 11 to September 13 in view of the BRICS Summit being held in the national capital.
The temporary closure is part of the arrangements being made to ensure the smooth and secure conduct of the high-level international summit. With senior leaders and delegations from BRICS member countries participating in the event, extensive security, traffic and logistical arrangements are being put in place across key areas of New Delhi.
The Rashtrapati Bhavan complex is among the prominent landmarks in the capital and attracts visitors throughout the year. The museum offers visitors an opportunity to explore India’s presidential heritage, historical artefacts and important milestones associated with Rashtrapati Bhavan.
Amrit Udyan, known for its landscaped gardens and wide variety of plants and flowers, is another major attraction for tourists and residents. The temporary closure means visitors will need to reschedule their plans during the three-day period.
