India, Sep 11: Today, Great Place To Work announced its Best Workplaces in Asia for 2026. The list is based on confidential survey data, with over 3.8 million individual responses representing the experiences of nearly 8.9 million employees from across the region.
Among the 100 organizations honoured in the Large Companies category, 34 operate in India, and from the winners in the Small & Medium category, 6 operate in India, underscoring India’s strong presence and role in shaping workplace culture and employee experience across Asia.
Employees reported their experiences of trust, innovation, company values, and leadership, and these rankings are based on that feedback. The best companies have more of their employees reporting a consistently positive experience, regardless of job title, work status, or other demographic identifier.
Employees’ sentiment about their workplace being a great organisation continues to be exceptionally strong at 93%, while the Trust Index Grand Mean continues to stand at 91%. Small & medium category outperform large organizations on overriding workplace culture experience sentiment, scoring 96% vs. 91%, and on the Trust Index Score, scoring 93% vs. 89%.
Our recent study shows that Best Workplaces in Asia demonstrates the top five strengths, with 95% and more employees sharing positive sentiment on employee safety, feeling welcomed, being treated fairly, and feeling proud to belong, the hallmarks of a truly great workplace.
Social Services & Government Agencies stand out as the top-performing industry across all sectors, achieving an overriding positive workplace experience sentiment score of 97%. Capability building continues to gain momentum as Asia's Best Workplaces™ are strengthening their focus on training and development, reflected in an increase in positive perceptions from 88% to 90% this year. Manufacturing & Production and Social Services & Government Agencies achieve the highest scores at 93%, while Biotechnology, Pharmaceuticals & Healthcare follows closely at 90%. The statistics clearly highlights the strong emphasis these organizations place on employee growth and development.
Companies on the list in 2026 have higher numbers of employees who report a positive experience at work compared to the typical workplace in Asia. As the employee experience improves, companies also find stronger business performance, the result of the Great Place To Work Effect.
