New Delhi, Nov 26: As India continues to prioritise its fight against childhood malnutrition and recognises it as a critical public health mission, Amway India a leading company committed to enhancing the health and well-being of people organized an impactful initiative under its flagship nutrition programme âPower of 5â. In collaboration with the Nourishing Schools Foundation, Amway India conducted an engaging activity-based learning session at a Government Primary School in Ethilodu, Dindigul district, promoting healthy lifestyle habits among children.

Aligned with the significance of Childrenâs Day, the initiative emphasised the importance of childhood well-being and encouraged nutrition, hygiene, and healthy living through fun, interactive activities.
Leadership Remarks
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Rajneesh Chopra, Managing Director, Amway India, said:
âEvery child deserves a strong foundation of good nutrition from an early age to grow into a healthy and empowered individual. Recognising this need, India is strengthening its systems to ensure adequate nutrition for children through initiatives like Poshan Abhiyaan and Mission Saksham Anganwadi. At Amway, we believe that children must be educated about the importance of nutrition from their formative years, and this learning should be closely linked to practical experience. Through the Power of 5 programme, we aim to foster awareness and adoption of balanced diets, hygiene, and healthy habits among children and caregivers. This Childrenâs Day is not just a celebration, but a reaffirmation of our collective commitment to nurturing every childâs potential.â
Interactive Activities to Promote Health and Hygiene
The initiative focused on raising awareness about the importance of nutrition, hygiene, and a healthy lifestyle through engaging and interactive sessions. Volunteersâincluding Amway Business Owners (ABOs) and employeesâjoined the children in preparing nutritious dishes such as fruit salads, sprouted chat, and healthy sandwiches.
A collective drawing activity encouraged children to creatively express their understanding of hygiene and nutrition. The programme also featured a drawing competition, short skits, role plays, and small speechesâactivities designed to build childrenâs confidence, communication skills, and awareness about health and cleanliness through learning-by-doing.
