New Delhi, Oct 08: Alcobrew Distilleries India Ltd., today announced that it has adopted an after-school club run by Vision Unlimited, a non-profit organisation working with underprivileged communities. The adoption is part of Alcobrew's Corporate Social Responsibility commitments and falls under Project Vidyauday, the company's flagship education programme.

The club currently serves around 110 children of construction labourers and daily wage earners, families for whom regular schooling and academic support are often out of reach. It caters to children of every age, from toddlers of two years to adolescents of 14 to 15, offering them a safe, structured space to learn, study and receive guidance from dedicated educators.
For the youngest, the club provides early childhood education, laying the foundations of learning in the formative years. For children who could not begin their education on time, it runs bridge learning that helps them catch up and join school at a level suited to their age. And for children already enrolled in school, it offers after-school academic support, helping them complete their homework, strengthen their understanding of concepts and keep pace with their classes, so that they stay in school and continue to progress.
Speaking on the occasion, Romesh Pandita, Chairman and Managing Director, Alcobrew Distilleries India Ltd., said,
Education is the most powerful foundation we can help build for a child. Through Project Vidyauday and our partnership with Vision Unlimited, we want to make sure that children of the workers who build our cities get the same chance to learn, grow and dream as anyone else."
“Over the past six years, Vision Unlimited has grown from a small community initiative into a network of safe spaces where children can learn, flourish and dream beyond the circumstances they are born into. We are delighted to have Alcobrew Distilleries join us on this journey, because meaningful partnerships like these allow us to build lasting opportunities for children and their families.”said Dr Shibal Bhartiya, Founder, Vision Unlimited.
Alongside academic support, the club also runs computer literacy classes for school-going children, introducing them to basic computer skills and digital tools.
