Bengaluru, June 1: Tata Motors Limited announced its sales performance for May 2026 in the domestic and international markets, reporting total sales of 32,850 units, a 17% year-on-year (YoY) growth compared to 28,147 units in May 2025.
Overall Performance
The company’s domestic sales stood at 30,784 units, registering a 19% YoY growth, while international business accounted for 2,066 units, reflecting a decline of 9% YoY.
Segment-Wise Performance (May 2026 vs May 2025)
- HCV Trucks: 7,877 units vs 7,106 units (11% growth)
- ILMCV Trucks: 5,331 units vs 4,954 units (8% growth)
- Passenger Carriers: 5,757 units vs 4,748 units (21% growth)
- SCV Cargo & Pickup: 11,819 units vs 9,064 units (30% growth)
MH&ICV Segment Performance
In the Medium and Heavy Commercial Vehicle (MH&ICV) segment, Tata Motors reported:
- Domestic Sales: 13,679 units vs 12,406 units (10% YoY growth)
- Domestic + International Sales: 14,596 units vs 13,614 units (7% YoY growth)
Key Highlights
The strong performance was led by robust growth in the SCV cargo and pickup segment, which recorded the highest growth of 30%, followed by Passenger Carriers at 21%, reflecting continued demand momentum across key commercial vehicle categories.
