New Delhi, Nov 02: Coverfox, a technology-led insurance distribution platform focused on insuring the last-mile Bharat, has launched its Diwali campaign, ‘Befikar Diwali – The Family Album’, bringing together family traditions, festive celebrations and the evolving approach to financial protection. Through a storytelling-led narrative featuring three generations of a family, the campaign highlights how the meaning of being financially prepared has changed over the years, while the need to protect loved ones remains constant.

Diwali is synonymous with family gatherings, travel, new purchases and celebrations. However, the festive season can also bring unexpected situations, from electrical short circuits and accidental damage at home to road mishaps, travel disruptions and health emergencies. Through this campaign, Coverfox aims to bring attention to the importance of making insurance an integral part of festive and everyday financial planning.
At the heart of the campaign is the Sharma family, featuring Dadaji, Papa and Riya, representing three different generations and their distinct approaches to managing risks. Dadaji represents a generation that relied largely on personal savings and family support to manage unforeseen expenses. Papa embodies a more planned approach, renewing insurance policies and securing the family's home, vehicle and health. Riya, representing Gen Z, reflects a digitally enabled generation that uses online platforms to access insurance, manage policies and seek healthcare services.
The campaign unfolds across three themes – Home, Journey and Health – through incidents drawn from the family's Diwali experiences. The home narrative explores situations such as accidental fires and damage to household belongings, along with the importance of protecting jewellery and valuables. The journey segment highlights road accidents and travel disruptions, while the health narrative brings out the importance of being prepared for medical emergencies and accidental injuries during the festive season.
Commenting on the campaign, Ms. Apurva Kaushik, Head of Brand Marketing, Coverfox, said,
“Befikar Diwali as a campaign is a part of our larger marketing initiative named “Teen Peedhiya, Ek Parivar”, wherein we are focusing and trying to create nostalgia while we showcase how banking, lending and insurance buying patterns of a family have evolved across three generations. “Befikar Diwali” resonates particularly with Tier 2 & Tier 3 India, where Diwali is deeply rooted in family traditions, joint households and celebrations that bring generations together. Through this campaign, we want to further our vision of ‘Coverfox Bima- Desh Ka Bima’ and make insurance a natural part of how Indian families look after one another.”
Beyond the storytelling, the campaign also encourages families to take a closer look at their insurance requirements before the festive season. This includes reviewing home insurance coverage for household belongings and jewellery, checking motor insurance before undertaking long-distance journeys, understanding health insurance coverage and cashless hospital networks, and evaluating travel insurance requirements before booking trips. It also highlights the importance of understanding policy exclusions, reviewing insured values and keeping essential policy documents accessible.
With ‘Befikar Diwali’, Coverfox aims to take the conversation around insurance beyond policy purchases and encourage greater awareness of financial protection within Indian households. The campaign reinforces the belief that while traditions, lifestyles and the way families celebrate may evolve across generations, the need to safeguard loved ones and their financial well-being remains unchanged.
