New Delhi, September 21, 2026: The 30th Global Conference on Mysticism concluded in Delhi on Sunday with Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj, head of the Sawan Kirpal Ruhani Mission (SKRM), delivering the closing address. Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta attended the concluding programme as Guest of Honour, alongside BJP MLA Ashok Goel and distinguished representatives of several faiths.
The concluding programme also commemorated the 80th birthday of Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj, observed by his disciples across the world as International Meditation Day. More than 650 international delegates from the United States, Australia, Austria, Switzerland, Canada and many other countries attended the conference. Across the eight-day event, more than two lakh seekers took part in programmes held at Kirpal Bagh and Sant Darshan Singh Ji Dham, Burari, from September 13 to 20.
Addressing the gathering, Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj spoke of meditation as a way to turn our attention within and connect with the Divine.
“As we celebrate International Meditation Day, we must realise we are not merely a body or mind; we are all souls filled with the love and Light of God. The path to God is the path of love,” Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj said. “In a world full of distractions, we must turn within to connect with the Divine and fulfill our true purpose of life — to know ourselves and to find God.”
Delhi CM Smt. Rekha Gupta extended her greetings to Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj on his 80th birthday and acknowledged his decades-long commitment to meditation, peace and service to humanity.
“The more I learn about Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj, the more I am in awe of his remarkable journey from engineering to spirituality. He is a highly educated saint, who is making a positive difference to humanity. The world is a family — Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam. Across the world, Maharaj Ji is spreading spiritual knowledge and working for human unity. His divine power shelters all under his loving guardianship. We thank God for his grace,” CM Smt. Rekha Gupta said.
MLA Ashok Goel said Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj brings the best of both worlds — deep knowledge of science and spirituality — a rarity in India. “Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj was born to serve humanity. His compassion, simplicity and the beautiful amalgamation of science and spirituality are a rarity. He is a true giver to humanity. We can only offer gratitude on his birthday.”
The concluding session also featured a soulful hymn rendition by respected Mata Rita Ji, along with a group of Westerners, “Hum ghar saajan aaye (My Beloved has come to my home)”, by Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
Faith leaders and international delegates also shared reflections on meditation and spirituality.
M. M. Swami Devendranand Giri Ji praised Sant Rajinder Singh Ji for spreading “divine fragrance” across the world, while Sri Sri Bhagwana Acharya Ji and Goswami Sushil Ji spoke of his divine light and the importance of a spiritual teacher. Syed Farid Ahmad Nizami highlighted Maharaj Ji's understanding of both science and spirituality, while Shri Vivek Muni Ji spoke of his contribution to humanity and the path of peace. Rabbi Ezekiel Isaac Malekar described Maharaj Ji as “an ocean of love”. Revered Acharya Yeshi Phuntsok thanked him for 80 years of love and compassion and Father Rodrigues spoke of spiritual awakening and compassion.
International delegates, Dr Jay Linksman and Mr Malik Hodari of Chicago called him an embodiment of kindness, sacrifice and divine love.
The conference also featured the 68th Blood Donation Camp, 43rd Free Eye Check-Up and Cataract Surgery Camp and 23rd Vastra Vitran Camp.
The 30th edition marked three decades since the Global Conference on Mysticism was inaugurated in 1990, continuing its focus on meditation and spiritual growth through discourses, meditation workshops and service.
